View for MP3 files DJ.

I've spent a lot of time making my mp3 files, with title and artist.

File heading MP3 Songs.

Subfiles are all artist names.

Problem, when I look for a song in the artist files the "VIEW" will change from "LIST" to icons, details, thumbnails.

LIST is my preference as it gives me the title and artist and is simple to read during a show.

How can I get my subfiles to stay on "LIST" and not change back.

Thank ahead of time. Swany

Open the Windows Explorer to folder you want, set to list, click on File/Close. This should save the setting.

If it still doesn't save the setting, open the Window again. Set to list, then click on Tools/Folder Options. Click on tab at top for View. Scroll down and find option for "Remember each folders view options" and check box next to it. Then click OK. and close windows explorer. That should do it according to MS.

Swany you should have said you wanted it that way for all.
Go one step farther and go to Tools/Folder Options View, set all your options you want and be sure to set "Remember each folders settings", click on Apply then click on Apply for all Folders.

Yes but it still will remember the last setting at each folder which may or may NOT be the list view, but once that list view is set that first time, we are all set. Once again, thanx.
