Do not just "rebuild the database."
You should erase the file songs.mdb and this will force hoster to rebuild the entire database from scratch. If this doesn't work, then make sure that you don't have conflicting bookid's and that all the folders are properly accounted for in the rebuild screen. |

search not finding songs
On the pc I have Hoster 3.301 and on the laptop i have 3.300. I deleted the songs.mdb and songback up. I rebuilt the database and in the search box it will not find all of the songs by gretchen wilson(using wilson or gretchen) also with sugarland and not sure how many more. I just put 4 more discs in today. I put them in the pc and then copied to an external drive and then copied to the laptop external. when i look up cb60350 on the top portion of hoster it will show the songs but when i use the search box and try to find any of the songs it does not show up. i also tried searching disc# for cb60350 and says it does not exist. I then brought the actual disc to the laptop and reimported it, it still does not locate it in the search function. the other pc's have no problem with this and recognize the songs in the search function. it did show that i have 99 duplicate id#'s and i merged the kma's but still no luck. I am getting a little frustrated when it is just the laptop that this is happening to. thanks for any help you can give, I did not see this in the hoster manual. Maybe I am incorrectly transferring files but do not understand how it words on the towers but not on the laptop

Like Chip suggested it sounds like maybe a duplicate bookid problem.
Are your GW songs any of those on the dup id list? Sam

Search not finding all songs
On the laptop I upgraded to 3.303. I deleted the songs.mdb and the song back up. I rebuilt the song db and had some duplicate book id#'s . I then merged the kma's to get ride fot he duplicate book id's. I can still find the song by using the brand search at the top of hoster but the search function to find gretchen or wilson will not bring up all of her entered songs even though they are in the file. I have only 1 file where all of the cdg's are downloaded into so it is not a matter of hoster not being able to locate the file. As i understand hoster the merge kma's will assign new book id's to the duplicate so after doing that I should be able to locate any song by the search box. I talked to one other hoster user and he suggested to go back to 3.006 version. This problem has only been in the last few months and did not come to light until last week when I had to use the brand id# to locate songs. This is almost like going back to using discs, although not that labor intensive. I just do not understand what is happening here when the rest of the computers work just fine, just the laptop is experiencing this problem

Search not finding all songs
I have checked the typos, nothing there. I have merged all kmas and nothing shows now. I just went in and checked to see where the chartbuster 60000 series ended in the search function. The last once that shows in the search by brand id is cb60328. that means that cb60329 through cb60351 are not shown in the search function, and yet when i go to the top portion and bring up chartubster pro country they are shown there. One of the disks that had gretchen wilson on it was in the duplicate book id file and after merging kma's, it still did not show on the search function. I have tried about everything I know of.
