Wink need to get shuttle to recognize and operate on external hd.

BRYAN I followed your instructions, and still have problems with the shuttle.. I Deleted the songs.mdb and backup.mdb on C and rebuilt database to Feb10(my file name). during the rebuild process, 'song db log' file could not be opened, came up and you have to click ok, then it finishes. When testing, it still uses the C: files. F/feb10 doesn't work. also during rebuild "318"duplicate book id's detected pops up as well as database already exists pops up. I believe what I need is to delete the MTU program and all files associated with it, and reinstall the entire MTU program as if it was brand new. I guess there's just too much junk in it to be able to figure it out. Do you think this is the best solution for me. and is there any risk if I do that? What would you suggest? Can I get your help by phone??? I'd like to do that complete reinstall on my laptop also. Do you think it could be reconditioned? The usb ports appear to be worn out. We use all 4 of them every show and that is a lot of plugging and unplugging. I called Doug to buy the newest update, but haven't heard back from him yet. He has my phone number, or I will call you if you will help me. Thanks in advance Pat
