This might sound far out, but try reducing the Audio Hardware accelleration to one notch above no accelleration.
I distinctly remember this being a fix three or four years back with problems involving the AUDIGY cards in other MTU programs(Microstudio and KHP). Worth a few minutes to see. George |

As George stated try reducing the Hardware acceleration. This is listed as a fix on the Sound blaster Site posted above.
Here is how to do it: Open CONTROL PANEL. Open SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICES. Open AUDIO. Under SOUND PLAYBACK DEFAULT DEVICE open ADVANCED. Open PERFORMANCE. You can now change the audio hardware accellerator. Change this to Basic Acceleration. Then see if it will work.

Steve,
http://us.creative.com/welcome.asp then go to support/knowledge base and look for SoundBlaster Live. Essentially they tell you the same steps MTUSupport did, with a couple more. Bryan, they also recommend decreasing hardware accelerator for both sound card and graphics card by one. According to Creative it is an IRQ problem and involves both cards.

I reduced it to each step all the way down to the minumum setting with no difference. I am just going to take your advice and install a different sound card and just use the Sound Blaster for DJ music between songs.
If somebody comes up with a solution for this card please let me know. Thanks for all of your assistance, it is greatly appreciated. Steve Douglas |
