Rimport single song

Upon HD import, Hoster will see the file as DiscID 600 and reimport it at the Track 06 location on the SAME BookID.

Unless you've given the DiscID a BRAND. Then, you'll need to Preface 600 with whatever Brand you ORIGINALLY Imported the Disc on. You can look in your KMA Folder to determine this.
My only problem here is that when I enter the original root Book ID say 600 (bookID = Root ID) it says "book ID already in use, meaning that that one song will have a totally different Book ID (not 600, like the others on that disc). How do I get around this w/o having to reimport the whole disc. Please help nReel?

Go in and delete that one song (699-05) or what ever it is. Then Hoster will let you reimport the song to the same id number.

Nowhere do you mention a TRACK NUMBER.

Did you assign a TRACK NUMBER?

Yes, I did assign a track number. I also went into the folder and deleted the file completely.
and what did you mean by your second statement "Unless you assigned a brand name.........etc etc?

I think I tried that too and I keep getting the same message "book ID already in use"

I still don't know what you are trying to say.

In the 1st sentence, you state that you assigned a Track Number. But, in the second sentence, which immediately follows the 1st sentence, you state "also," which means "in addition to."

So, am I to infer that, after assigning a Track Number, you deleted the same Track?

Because, you stated, earlier, that you imported SEVERAL Tracks from Disc 600. In which, you stated later that you wanted to ADD one more Track to Disc 600.

So, why would you DELETE only ONE Trk from Disc 600? To free up a BookID, you would need to DELETE ALL THE TRACKS pertaining to that DISCID.

Further, how am I supposed to know what and how you Imported, in the first place, in order to advise you further.

Most Hoster users use Hoster in the way it was intended. Then, once becoming familiar with the program, they may decide to see if they can get Hoster to function uniquely.

This UNIQUE Route is what you have chosen to do FIRST.

I dumped my database, reset my Songs Destination Folder to a Test Folder, renamed some files to DiscID 600 with ascending Track Numbers, and Imported, from the Hard Drive, only 1 (one) Track. I closed the Import Window, added the song for Play, and Played the Song. I closed and Opened Hoster, re-opened the Import Window, selected the same Folder for Import, added the SAME Disc 600 compliment of Songs to the List Box, and was able to Import all other DiscID600 Songs, that WERE NOT PREVIOUSLY IMPORTED, successfully.

You need to be more specific about the EXACT DiscID and BookID already Imported, and, how the Track that you want added to the SAME BookID is currently named.

Yes, my numbering system is a bit unique as you had instructed me previously on how to get my disc ID's to equal my Book Ids. That way I could maintain the same numbering system I was using before I installed hoster.

Your instructions were excellent and did everything I needed to accomplish that. However, when importing from Disc 600 track 15 named book ID #60015, was a bad import (too many snowflakes).

Then I wanted to add a good copy of that song from a HD folder. You said to rename it 600 - 15 -title - artist. Which I did.

It came up in the list as disc ID 600 track 15, then when I hit import selected disk, the message stated "Book ID already in use".

I know I can re-import from another "good" disk and it imports well right over the originals with the same original book ID's.

The reason I deleted that track in the kma folder was because it was suggested from INcmain in the post before yours. I thought that was needed.

Anyway, disc ID 600, which is rootBook ID 600, is missing track number 15, and I can't get it in the same place from a Hard drive import. Is there a way to insert that song using the HD import and maintain the book ID of 60015 for that song.
