Your file system may be efficient as it stands now. What I'm saying (if I'm reading your initial post correctly) is that with some files number only and some artist/title and some title/artist it will be slow and cumbersome to import

I understand about the program rarely using the song number, but the requester needs to fill it in with the tite; as often they make a mistake and you need the song number for searching to compare accuracies.
I was refering to Hoster using the diskid to lookup artist and title info for the importing process. If that info is already in the file name then an accurate diskid is not necesary. For me a song# or bookid is very important, I'm already having to deal with some KJ's in town no longer requireing it so some singers are not bothering to give me that info, I can do it that way but I don't want to. The people who give me incorrect song#s slow me up enough as it is.

However, how long do you think it will take me to log in 200 discs that have a brand name associated with them but need a new rootbookID; and another 100 custom discs with NO associated brand name( I assume I have to enter the song titles one - by- one at the rate of 15 songs per disc)?
Can you give me an estimate of how much time might be involved in this import process?
Too many variables involved in your situation to even hazard a guess. At the time I had no hard drive files and Hoster wouldn't import them at the time if I did but it took me a couple of weeks of every spare minute to do 700 CDG's, of course that was using my numbering scheme as well as taking care to avoid duplicates which slowed things up I'm sure.
Studying the manual and experimenting with different files would give you a better idea.
