Good...Let's try reducing your hardware accellerator.

Click START, RUN, and open DXDIAG again.

Click on the SOUND1 tab.

In the DirectX features block there's a HARDWARE SOUND ACCELLERATOR LEVEL slider. Left click on the slider, and holding down on the mouse button, move it all the way to the left.

Close out, open Microstudio, and see if that gets it.

If it does, and you notice any adverse results in any other audio players , you can always sneak the slider a notch or two back to the right, but I doubt you'll need to.
