Crashing again when loading customers disc

I am using 3.10, and when importing from a customers disc, hoster will either freeze up or my pc will completely lock up. The disc this happens with is an original top tunes multisession disc, and up until saturday would onlt screw up when trying to read the last track. But Saturday night, the customer chose another song offthat disc, and it also froze up, even tho I had gotten at least one good song off that disc that night. I thought we had all these problems taken care of with 3.08, but the problem has returned. Help! I cannot run a show with a pc thats gonna freeze up on me and have to reboot everynight. This is a MAJOR problem.

Which Top Tunes disk was it. I don't have many TT but if I have one of the same I could check it on my Hoster.

Since yours is the first to report a problem since 3110 was released I would be inclined to think it's an anomaly with that particular cdg.
I've had customers disks with hairline cracks that were impossible to see unless you held it up to the light, cause Hoster to crash although it's been many many months. Also look for chipped or peeling label, that can cause problems long before a scratch will. And of course theres the obvious big nasty scratch which I'm sure you would have already noticed.

I have actually looked for those cracks and scratches. I couldn't find any, but then the lighting in the room wasn't all that great. I do not know the disc #, but next time I will get it.

My point tho is this...whether or not it is a good disc or bad, it should not crash hoster. No matter what hoster should not freak out and freeze up like it has been doing. I can understand it if it would display an error message and cancel the operation of the import, but to freeze up hoster or lock up the entire pc where I would have to reboot mid-show? I know we can all agree that something isn't right here and this is not acceptable.

Mine is still locking up as well. I opened another thread on this a while back with no real resolution other than it was an issue with the burner, but since MTU built my show PC I assume the hardware should be appropriate.

I was doing a show Sunday and someone brought in a Top Tunes disc and I had no other programs running...inserted the TT disc into the drawer, clicked on CDG to add the track and as soon as I went to rip it, all the music stopped...the wipes locked and the show came to a screeching halt.

Upgrading has not solved my issue. My show PC stays parked unless I am doing private shows. For public shows where customers bring their own discs, my PC is useless unless I run another CDG player in tandem for that purpose, and that is too much like work.

It sucks that this is happening, but I am glad I am not the only one experiencing this. Just to be sure, I checked to make sure it was up to date with microsoft xp updates, and it was completely up to date so thats not the problem. I am hoping 3.2 will solve the issue with its multisession discs. But do multisession discs crash hoster? We still haven't heard from MTU since I posted this. I would have posted this to the original thread, but since 3110 came out, the topic was closed.
