Question Singer's CDG's won't load on playlist

I purchased the laptop and Hoster program. When I first received it, I tried a track from a cdg. I couldn't get it to work and decided I didn't know enough about the program yet. I proceeded to download approximately 13000 songs and became more familiar with the manual and am ready to start running our karaoke shows from the laptop. However, the cdr drive will still not read a track from a cdg. (clean, brand new, old, scratched doesn't make a difference) I get a message that the "CDR/CDROM DEVICE NOT READY, PLEASE INSERT A DISC A TRY AGAIN." The CDR works for playing music, pictures etc on a CD; so is it link between Hoster and the drive that is the problem? Janis

Click on TOOLS, then DETECT DRIVES.

Your drive should be listed.

If it says YES for Karaoke, then go back into TOOLS, then CD/DVD DRIVES DEFAULTS, and make certain your drive is selected as the default drive.

If it said NO under DETECT DRIVES, your drive does not read CDG, in which case you may need a CDG compliant USB drive.

Hope this helps

If you were trying to use the CD drive on the laptop it probably is not capable of reading CDG's. You will need an external certified drive.

As Gary stated, you must use the Plextor External CD-R drive on a Laptop, this is why you are getting this error. The disc is in the Laptop drive.

When stating Downloaded, this can be taken as from the CD's into the Computer, not from the Internet.
