Make sure the Sound isn't MUTED.
Does your Sound Control Panel have a WAVE Control/Slider? If so, set it to 100% or MAX. If not, do you have an OPEN PCMCIA Card Slot avaliable? If so, then you can buy a PCMCIA Sound Blaster® Audigy® 2 ZS Notebook for about $129.00. Found the same card at this URL: http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Creative...rt=price&used= under MERCHANT=GATEWAY (Click on BASE PRICE to Sort on Price) for $99.00+a $30.00 Rebate. They show the PRICE after REBATE=$69.00 See specs at: http://www.creative.com/products/pro...&product=10769 See Price at: http://us.creative.com/products/prod...&product=10769 |

![]() Try locating the "Lineout" jack instead of the headphone jack. Lineout has a greater range of output level than the headset jack does.

I had a similar problem with Volume on my laptop. I purchased a Soundblaster PCMCIA Sound Card. I have all the volume I need now. The sound is far superior to what I had before. The difference is amazing. Normally laptops are equipped with a low to moderate quality sound cards from the factory.
As I was writing this post I saw the one from nreel....this is the exact same sound card that I use. Paid right at $129 |
