David,

That was one of the many different things I tried throughout the night. Nothing worked. One thing that was pointed out, was that projector screens could cause this and I do happen to be plugged into one. But I must be plugged into it or the club owner will have a hissy fit. I just bought one of those ground loop isolators from radio shack...hopefully that will help. All I can do is hope at this point.

if the projector has a cable tv pulg into it all so then try unpluging the cable from it
cable box's are one of the big problem when causeing ground loops

so get rid of the cable box and see if that will do it for you

David,
The laptop that I use, the only way to get rid of the Noise is the 3 prong to 2 prong adapter from Radioshack, and it does work great then.

well I am at the gig right now, and the noise is now gone. I traced it to the projector tv, but there is nothing I can do about that. Removing the ground did nothing. But I did install the radio shack ground loop isolator which did remove the noise, so problem is solved. Thanks for the help guys!
