There must be a reason why a top brand like Seagate has five year warranties their inboard hard drives, but still only one year on their USB drives.

I'd imagine part of it would be to anticipated user abuse of the USB's.

Anyway that's what tipped me to go Seagate inboards for clone backup's instead of USB's.
