Re: HELP!!! SYSTEM CRASHES.....EVERY Night
I had a problem with my computer crashing and giving me problems that I couldn't figure out. Not nessesarily loading peoples disks but just whenever it decided to. I narrowed it down to the sound card I was using. I was using the audigy external ummm.... NX I believe. This was on a regular pc mind you but I was still using an external. So I bought a 29.00 internal sound blaster, loaded the correct software and havn't had the problem since. Maybe this could help. Oh by the way does anyone know if you still have to turn down the hardware acceleration on the sound cards or is that problem taken care of?

never update your video drivers through windows updates. go straight to the manufacturer.

Re: HELP!!! SYSTEM CRASHES.....EVERY Night
This might be your problem and it might not be
if your sound card is USB and for what every reason your USB times out say for lack of resource's then hoster will crash because it does not see the sound card if I were you. I would try a PCMCIA card or a card that works of the com port and if you have a desk top go with a pci card This will at least tell you if it was the USB and if it was the USB try a different set of drivers for the USB support in most case's there are at least two sets of drivers for every thing on your computer now i and going on the fact that you have a usb sound card. hope this helps |
