Re: Song name questions
Michael,
I think what may be confusing you is the AUTO NAME FILES button on the imports page. It is confusing. That button does not make the program read the names of the tracks and enter them, as one may be logically inclined to think. What it does is replicate on all subsequent tracks you select from one or more cd's whatever PROJECT FILE NAME you wish to assign the tracks you select from a cd. Then you can insert another disc, open that project, and add to it to complete a custom disc...make sense? I never use it, as to me it becomes too confusing, having to keep track of what the tracks in the project are by song name. I just type in the song names to begin with, just as you are doing, and add them by name to a custom assembly for burning. Sorry I didn't pick up on that when I first read your post,, assuming that's what threw you. take care, George |

Re: Song name questions
George is right on the Auto name files check box. However, if you enter the DiscID here, Microstudio automatically adds a "-" and the Track#.
We are about to Beta Test a new Hoster 3.100 version that allows importing CDG songs on the hard drive (imported using Microstudio). This operation requires the DiscID and Track# be in the .cdg filename to automatically identify the song. It then goes to our Import Database and if the DiscID is there, it will find and fill in the Song and Artist names for each track. Just a heads up in case you may be considering Hoster in the future. ![]() |
