Re: Radeon 9200 and the Extended Desktop
I'm running on a Sony 3.4ghz 2GB Ram 500GB HD,
Radeo 9200 Vid. This is a top of the line system, and I'm a computer professional. Generally, I never have any kind of problem that I can't handle. Never used dual displays before so this part is new to me.

Re: Radeon 9200 and the Extended Desktop
Hello Gary,
I was always under the impression you needed a matched pair of memory, i.e. 2x256mb, so they have separate info on both. I've never tried running 2 screens, without, so perhaps I'm whistling in the dark. Regards from across the pond. Garry |

Re: Radeon 9200 and the Extended Desktop
The matched memory has no effect on that.
Are you using the latest drivers from ATI or the ones that come on the install CD? |

Re: Radeon 9200 and the Extended Desktop
Sounds like you might not have had the TV Plugged in before you booted the computer up. The only time that I have ever seen the one monitor under the Display settings on the Built By ATI Radeon 9200 card, is when I didn't hook the tv up, before powering up the system.
What is the exact Video card that you have, is it an ATI Radeon 9200 from ATI, or is it one from another manufacturer?

Re: Radeon 9200 and the Extended Desktop
Thanks everyone for the response. I eventually went to the ATI site and download the new drivers. Everything works perfectly.
