Upgrading to 3.0 and installing sp2

I have been reading a lot of threads about problems with hoster after downloading sp2 and upgrading to hoster 3.0. I currently have 2.215 and haven't installed sp2 yet. Have had no problems running my shows and I'm concerned if I update to 3.0 and install sp2 I will start having problems. Is there a way I can upgrade and not develop the issues that some people are having? From what I see 3.0 looks to be a great program. Thanks

Re: Upgrading to 3.0 and installing sp2

Hoster doesn't have any problems with upgrading to SP2. I run this on every system that I ship out of MTU. The problem lies within your computer, can your computer's hardware support the SP2 Upgrade?

I have a system at home, that Will not allow me to upgrade to SP2, no matter what I do, I love SP2, but can't put it on this computer, as it will quit booting and have to be reformatted, and reloaded with XP SP1.

So this is your answer, hope it helps.

Re: Upgrading to 3.0 and installing sp2

For me, I don't know what the problem was, but I have an MTU PC, and I upgraded to SP2 using 2.219 and it was fine. As soon as I loaded 3.000, dual display quit working, and all kinds of errors started popping up in different situations.

Since then, I think" I have them straightened out, but haven't tested it yet.

Coincidence? Maybe, but it happened, nonetheless. But, nothing that isn't fixable, I'm sure. If Bryan can set them up with it, mine should work, too.

This weekend will tell.

You don't have to have it. But I like it personally, it has some nice features in it. The popup blocker is awesome.

This from Bryan is enough for me.

Since I don't go on the net ever with my laptop, and have had problems with SP2 and had to remove it, I won't be trying it again. I don't want to mess with my system which is working perfectly now.
