Input Past End of file

I installed 3.0 several weeks ago and reprinted all my song books. I just downloaded new songs and went to use the "Print New Release Pages" option and get the "Input Past End of File" Error from the HP Print routine. If I reprint the entire book it works. I can get around this the old way and move the songs to another directory and build the song database over but I would like to use the new option. Any thoughts as to why this is not working?

Every thing else works just fine.

I have rebuilt the song database. I have tested the printer. No other changes have been made to the system.

Thanks.

Re: Input Past End of file

If the print works for the entire book and not just the New Releases I would guess that it is a problem with Hoster in reading the Access DB. I have made no changes to the system.

Re: Input Past End of file

This computer was purchased Karaoke. It does nothing else.. Yes I have installed all the latest Updates but, No driver updates lately.

It prints the entire song book just fine. It just does not print the New Releases.

Re: Input Past End of file

I have the same problem. I get the exact error message he does.

It has not been a problem yet but will be when I add my next 900 songs due in a few days.

I'm using a MTU Portable PC, and a Toshiba Laptop both have XP Home, All the latest drivers, and updates.

Re: Input Past End of file

the updates are important. its printing the whole book because its a word document. you are selecting to print part of the document.

Re: Input Past End of file

I did not actually print the entire book over.... I told Hoster to print the book. The new word RTF files were created. I request Hoster to print just the New Releases and I get the error. It does not even create the Word RTF file.

It does create a new TEMP1 Access file and a HOSTER.DAT file. It does not create the Artist or Song Word files.

Re: Input Past End of file

Yes, Little Box from HP Print Driver routine. You can fire off the HP Print down in the Hoster Programs and get the same error.

Re: Input Past End of file

Input past end of file, it's a read error generated when a program attempts to read data that's not there. 99.9% of the time it's an internal error and no amount of windows updates in the world is going to fix it.

Re: Input Past End of file

DjYale is correct. The Updates won't work for this one. I will have to play with this to see what happens, and see if I can recreate the problem.

Re: Input Past End of file

I had this problem starting with the last update prior to 3.0, and continued when I added 3.0.

Same message "Input Past End Of File"
