Can't Upgrade Because setup & Intallshield Error wont go away.

Run the Disk Cleanup to remove all your Temp Files. You do this by Opening My computer, Right click on the Local Disk C:\ drive. Left click Properties, then click the Disk Cleanup button at the bottom left. It might take a long long time if it has never been run.

If this still doesn't work, then you can search for your Temp directory and manually try deleting the information out of this.

tried that as well and it still doesn't work.....i'm really frustrated about this.!!!!. Thiniking of reformatting my whole hard drive but will have lost installations in the process as i have the suite.

It sounds like something is missing in your system or corrupted. I would say that you could try the Format and hope that fixes any problems that you currently have with the computer. Just make sure that youn print your Original Emails for the Product Download Instructions, so that you can redownload the software.

So Glad i finally solved this problem without having to re-format.

I download a nice program that was able to handle the un-installation that installshield couldn't. "tenebril uninstaller" did the trick...i uninstalled and ran the setup for hoster 3.00 and everything has been all roses since then.

you should let everyone here know what you did step by step.

this way in the future if someone has this problem, they can do a search and correct it.

Sorry for my negligence folks.....What i did was download the tenbril uninstaller (http://www.tenebril.com/downloads/) (trial version works for 15 days). run the program on my system and when it asked me to select what program to uninstall i clicked on the old version of the hoster program. It did the uninstallation with no glitches. When it was done i was finally able to run the hoster 3.0 setup program with no problem. i believe for some reason the original installation may have displaced some files that were essential for the installshield to upgrade/uninstall the program but by using another program with different routines it was possible to overide that problem. thanx
