Re: Ext HD & Plextor Burner both changed drive letters

I consulted Ms. Cleo, in order to read your mind on what Operating System you have. So, for WindowsXP, to change DRIVE LETTER Designations, DO THIS:

Click START
Double Click CONTROL PANEL to OPEN it
Double Click ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS to OPEN it
Double Click COMPUTER MANAGEMENT to OPEN it
Single Click DISK MANAGEMENT to VIEW it
Single Click the SQUARE Box in the Upper Right-Hand corner to MAXIMIZE the Window for better VIEWING.

We are going to CHANGE the DRIVE LETTER of your CD-ROM FIRST, as it is Tying-Up Your DRIVE LETTER F.
Step:
1. Locate your CDROM, in the LIST of Drives, and Single RIGHT Click where it
....says "CD-ROM." Button should appear to be PUSHED IN (Selected) and a
....Box will appear that has "Change Drive Letter and Paths" at the top.
2. Single Click on "Change Drive Letter and Paths."
3. Single Click on CHANGE
4. Single Click the DOWN ARROW on the Drive Letter Box in the UPPER RIGHT.
5. Single Click DRIVE LETTER G
6. Single Click OK

At this point, your CD-ROM will be DRIVE LETTER G, thereby, freeing up DRIVE LETTER F, which, now, may be assigned to any DRIVE.

Now, FOLLOW Steps 1 thru 6, listed above, except RIGHT Click on DRIVE E (Your External HARD DRIVE) and, when you are at the point of choosing a NEW DRIVE LETTER, you will choose DRIVE LETTER F.

Now Hoster will be able to find your KMA's without you having to go through the process of REBUILDING your DATABASE.

Hope this helps,

Norm
