My warranty is void because I took out my modem that would never get used, and I put in a different card?

For crying out loud, when I talked to Doug on the phone, he did not explain to me that it would be the case when I ordered this. So, what you are saying, is that ZERO hardware changes can be made to the system (adding RAM, etc.), or the warranty is void?

THE MTU SYSTEM DID NOT WORK BEFORE I PUT IN THE WIRELESS CARD.

It has been messed up with these PHM discs since the day I got the system.

But, you've left yourself a way out, it seems. I don't think I've been unreasonable in my requests to have someone who knows these systems try to help me out with this.

Besides, one of you already said in a post above that the wireless network card is "most likely" not the problem. Besides, I'm not the only one with this issue, so why would you possibly be trying to put the ball back in my court?

You set it up, and I love the PC. But, you know as well as I do, that it isn't usable on the PHM discs if there are multiple audio drops in the majority of the songs on them.

So, why the defensive stance? I love Hoster, and the freedom it allows, but the fact that it won't work with those discs is NOT my fault.

Here's a file that I frequently have problems with.

Thanks for your continued support, unless my warranty now being void doesn't allow it anymore.

Loaded the new version, and the problem persists. FYI. No noticeable change in the audio drops, from what I was hearing before.

Loaded new version still have adio drops with PHM. no change.
Let's keep trying there has to be a remedy that we are not seeing. Did your tech's have the audio drop with the file I sent you? It seems there must be a conflict somewhere or PHM made some changes in how they are writing disks. I do 13 shows a week on two laptops and have nothing but excellent results from the Hoster program, just recieved these PHM disks and imported them along with some Sound Choice Star Series disks all is fine except for the songs from the PHM disks. This should be PHM0310 track 4, Here without you by 3- Doors Down. This one usually drops out about 6 times per song.

New version. No change
I'll attempt to send my dxdiag on this post however the info on the usb soundblaster card will be absent (as I leave it at work).

I would be curious to see if someone not having this problem could play some of these with the task mgr on and see if they get a large spike in cpu usage in spots.

I did a little experimenting of my own. I took one of the problem disks (phmn1103) and converted it to mp3g - it plays fine in winamp with the plugin. Then I converted it back to cdg and reburned it to a disk and imported that disk into hoster, and the dropouts occur once again. So what ever it is it seems to be peculiar to kma's and it seems to be related to a code change since 2.014 . Before the upgrade, in 2.014 I would get the large cpu usage spikes and a tiny little crackle, barely noticeable if you weren't trying to hear it, but some change since then has caused the dropouts to be more noticeable

i also combined the music from a CB mp3g with the graphics from a PHM and imported it into hoster and had the same problem in the same location on the track. Combining the music from a PHM track with the graphics of a CB song played flawlessly.
Also when i made a song in kpro using the instrumental from PHM i had no problems there either.

Here's one that only drops out in the intro only, but still drops out.
The file should be Zoom Karaoke ZMP040 track 8, Desperado by the Eagles

Here's another that drops out horribly. It should be Whiskey Girl by Toby Keith PHMN0406 track 01

Yes have tried in CDG player works fine. Seems all songs have an audio drop when the Pop Hits Monthly Screen comes up. Tried several songs including the one's you have mentioned and they all have the same audio drop at the same time about 3 - 4 seconds into the intro.

Guys,
The files are not getting attached to the Post. I need these files to test. Do as Admin stated above, New Post, and at the bottom center, click the Browse button. Then select your .kma file and then click Open to attach it to the post. Wait for it to Upload when you click Submit, it may take a few minutes for the upload to finish.

If you get me these, I will test them now.
