no one said to replace your disc my point was not to buy more of the same intill this is fixed

and by the way you hit it right on the head
when you said

so by chance did you add a program to this computre
did you check for all up date maybe it was an up date that change some thing
if you did add a program did it change some setting on this unit

there are so many things that can make 1 unit play and
not a nother of the same type

i know this is a long shot for you butt try to find some one it the forum that has the same unit that you do were the disc are playing right for them
and match them setting for setting
and see if you still have the same problem

get the same up date they have and see if it goes away
that is what i would try untill a fix is out there

and if it does fix it than it was the unit and not the program
just food for thought
