NOTE! Disc quality is important
I just bought 200 memorex 52x cd's to make some backups from, and had so many bad disk's I thought I had a bad plextor drive. I put in a new drive and got the same results. So I went out, and bought some good quality disks, and it worked perfect. DON'T BUY CHEEP!!!!!! it doesnt pay. I threw away the last 100 after 60 of the first 100 were bad.
Just a word of experience to the Beginner. FYI: MTU sells nothing but the best of the best. Buy mtu and save time & Money. |

Everyone must learn one way or the other. These discs are fine for Audio, but Karaoke is a totally different animal.

experienced the same problem w/ memorex.......
not alot though, had one 25 pack that was total junk for karaoke. but most of the time they're ok, especially to burn cd's you take with you to go out and sing with(if it gets screwed up, or ripped off, no biggie) They definitely require slower burn speeds to avoid write errors,or bad medium detected errors. |

I'd like to have a dollar for every time using top quality media where CDG is concerned has been discussed by brands on these forums, but some people just don't bother to read, do they?

![]() I think they do read, and use the info as they wish....
Of course, expecting cheap media to hold up or perform as reliably as the "Good Stuff" is totally unrealistic. I wouldn't use total crap for media if I HAD to depend on it. But I personally don't HAVE TO depend on it. I go out and sing, get lit up, and have even spilled beer on my own "gigbag" So what? My originals are at home, and I'm not out much if any Cd's are messed up. For my own purposes, these are fine...... Would I recommend them to a pro? HELL NO! A singer? sure. A singer that party's hard? Hell YES! ![]() |
