Possible Answer To Your Import Problem
Most likely, you have a Multisession Disc. Do a search on Multisession and read the comments. You will need to become very knowledgeable on this subject.
From Hoster Import, you will know, immediately, when you pull the Disc Track information from the Database for Import, if you are dealing with a Multisession Disc, even if the Disc is not, yet, in the Database. The LAST "TRK", at the bottom, will be blank, if the Disc is found in the Database, but, more importantly, the "DUR" Column will show approximately 16 seconds. This last Track is usually a DATA Track (but doesn't have to be...for purposes of CDG Discs, 99.99% sure it will be a DATA Track), usually advertising info that is burned to the disc as a SECOND SESSION. The CDG Tracks are burned FIRST on the CD, Session ONE. Then the "Burning" is STOPPED, but the CD IS NOT FINALIZED leaving the CD open to start a SECOND "Burning" Session. This SECOND Session causes the CD to be referred to as a MULTISESSION Disc. This, hopefully, explains Logically as to what Multisession is but, Technically, it's beyond me as to WHY the CDG Track that is laid before this DATA Track is not 100% readable. But, suffice to say, CDG Manufacturers use this as a form of COPY PROTECTION and, as such, many Software Companies WILL NOT provide support for Multisession Discs. Not knowing your Disc info, it is hard to say, but I'm willing to bet that you have a Multisession Disc. Norm |
