Can Hoster be used to rip CD's and act as a DJ software for music?

I have 1 night a week where I strictly DJ, and thought it would be cool if I could have everything loaded on the computer.

If I can, how is that done. Basically the same was as CDG's?

Or, am I facing another legal issue by doing that?

In thime we will be adding wma support. However, if you now have windows media player on your machine, which is free. It works wonderfully for DJing. I have it with over 37,000 tracks in .wma format. Which retains better fidelity tham mp3's. Try it and see if you like it. It also rips, and reads the song titles, and all information off the webdatabase for ripping.

Just import the tracks as CDG, not AUDIO with Microstudio, then burn them to a cd as cdg's to import into Hoster.

So, they'll basically run as CDG's without graphics, correct? Then, I could use use to cue up all of my songs in order?

OK, then I have to assign Book ID numbers......how do I keep these songs from showing up in my song books?

If you assign it a book id it will be in the songbook, that was why I suggest using windows media player as a dj program. try it! the playlist freature make it very user friendly.

with media player, you don't have to do all the microstudio stuff, and change it to a cdg file. Importing to windows media player will also go to the internet, and putt the song titles, and artist, and album information. this will save you a lot of typing.

It also sorts and lists the files by artist, as well as album, title, and genre.

What's the simplest way to get the music from CD to computer?

reread my last post.....


media player rips cd's to the computer and goes to the internet database for track title. artist. album. genere..... and a bunch of more information to file it by. there is a tab on the right side of the screen on media player that is marked copy from cd.....

this does it all. you dont need winamp for anything. media player ver 9.0 also has crossfading, so you won't have a delay between songs. it fades from one to the other.
