Danny-G the polarity bit kept bugging me so I moved everything out from the wall, unplugged the decoder from a multiple outlet strip and plugged it in directly to the wall outlet and guess what??? Back in business. Then I shut down for awhile. When I came back, there was the problem again, just as it had been. This time I let the cd run through the first song and unbelievably the second song came on just as it should be, colors and all. I shut everything down again and the scenario repeated itself, exactly;all messed up through the first song and aok afterwards. This time I shut down everything except the decoder, waited a few minutes, turned it all back on and everything worked fine. So it looks like one has to suffer through the first song, then all's all right, or leave the decoder on. Really wierd stuff.Thanks again,
