I hope you're not having the same problem I just had. My 3 months old Maxtor 160 gig with all my music was no longer showing in my "My Computer". The reason you now have the D for your cd player is that Windows can not communicate with your hard drive.

I suggest you run a test if you have an utility software that came with your computer or hard drive or if you have Norton System Works try running disk Doctor and see what it says.
