![]() You guys have been so helpful. My Edirol Sound Canvas arrived Suturday by FEDEX (I didn't pay for special delivery). I have found many very good quality however, I have been looking for one particular song, “Bring it on Home to Me” preformed by either Sam Cook or the Animals. I have only found a few and they are not very good. I try changing the instruments to resemble a 60s era rock and roll band, guitars, bass guitar, drums, and keyboard, but it doesn’t come across that way. When I change the instruments channels that were once silent become active and those that I changed become inactive. When I finally get it to start sounding the way I want it and replay it, it reverts back to the original. I’m sure this is an easy project, but music editing is very new to me. Can anyone offer a suggestion?
Barry P.S. I do like the oldies: Animals, Stones, Otis, Doors and the like. So I will use this combo KPRO & MIDI often. Everytime I hear one on the radio, I say, "I remember that one." Oh, the memories. |

SOUND CANVAS..........
Don't overlook the: Volume PanPot Expression Reverb Chorus Delray FUNCTION BUTTONS Volume Button....click on to see the volume each instrument as been assigned, if the instrument playing the Melody is too loud simply decrease the volume. Reverb Button....click on to see the amount of reverb each instrument as been assigned, experiment with the settings. Chorus Button...MY FAVORITE...click on to see how the instruments sounds are enhanced. Love this button, especially on a Virbraphone Here is what I do, kinda quick and dirty.... 1. Load your midi song and play in Sound Canvas 2. Make the changes you want 3. While the music is playing click on the SETUP BUTTON 4. Click on the "ALL OFF" Button 5. Un-check the "RECEIVE ALL" Button 6. Click on APPLY and then OK. 5. Click on your AUDIO CONV Button 6. The "Convert with the same settings as those used for the song" should have a "Dot" in the Circle. 7. Then simply Click Save....... 8. That should do it. ALSO..... 1. Go Control Panel / Multimedia 2. Click on the MIDI Tab 3. Make sure that "Roland VSC" is highlighted. 4. Click on Apply and OK. There are millions of MIDI Files available for download on the internet. RE:Sound Canvas
Hey guys, here's another tip. Add some chorus effect to the drum track on channel 10. Set it to about 100. Really makes those
drums sound fat, brings up the volume and enhances the stereo imaging. One small detail for the more technically oriented. The crash cymbals might become a little overbearing after you do this. Easy solution is to bring down the level of chorus effect ![]() ![]() ![]() Larry T. |
