Unhappy microstudio locks up

It seems every time I try to copy a multi session disk i have this problem. Two thirds through copying the last track to the hard drive the copying will stop it wont let me do anything from that point. I have to hit ctr alt del to close and I still get windows saying microstudio waiting for a response from me. At that point I can't even shut down the computer without holding the power button in for five seconds. I have tried some different ways that I have seen on the forums like ejecting cd but no luck yet. Any way I have tried while copying the last song on that type of a cd causes my system to hang. The strange thing is when I restart my computer my documents contain all the songs I just copied including the last track and it is complete. From there I can get all of the songs and make a complete cd but I have to go through this whole ordeal of locking up pulling the cord and restarting. Is there some kind of file download I need or a later version of microstudio. I have v2.315 , plextor 40/12/40, OS win XP,2.4 gig HP w/1g ram
Any ideas from MTU . THANK YOU

Well....

I don't remember someone else reporting duplicating a multi-session CD locking up Microstudio. I'll see if MTUSUPPORT has any comments tomorrow.

We are currently shipping 2.517, which is two generations above 2.315, and a lot more stable. It is a $15 upgrade ordered with this link.

I would update all the drivers for your computers motherboard. The chipset drives could be having something to do with this. This is all that I can think of that would cause it to lock up the entire computer as you describe.
