Dual Display

Just installed hoster on my new laptop and imported about 50 discs so far. Decided to hook it up to my sound system and audio is excellent.

I tried hooking the laptop up to a TV but could not get the graphics to come on to the screen.

My Toshiba Laptop has S-Video Out and I connected to a Radio Shack RF Modulator S-Video In. Then connected a coax to the tv from the modulators coax out. Plugged the RF Unit in but still no signal. Tried changing channels on the TV and RF unit but still no picture.

Any Ideas?

Scott

My System Specs are:

Toshiba Sattelite P15-S409
Pentium 4 2.8 gig w/Hyper Threading, 512mb Ram
60 gig HD
NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5100 w/32mb VRAM

Sounds like you need to set your dual display video card up in "extended desktop" mode.

Try this.

Have the tv connected and on.

Right click on a blank spot on the desktop.

Click on PROPERTIES.

Click on SETTINGS.

Click on monitor #2.

Check the box EXTEND DESKTOP TO THIS MONITOR.

I don't remember if you have to reboot or not.

That's how it works in XP.

Hope this helps you

Take care,
George
