Unhappy Windows XP and Microstudio 2.400

Microstudio 2.400 doesn't work properly on my system. When I try to play a track either from the hard drive or the CD drive, the screen displays half of the first screen of graphics and then freezes. The audio plays correctly. Microstudio 2.315 works correctly. I wanted version2.400 so I could switch between a windowed graphics display and full screen by double clicking.
Version 2.315 doesn't do this, or am I wrong?
System Spec
Athlon 1.4 GHz on ECS K7S5A M/Board
Soundblaster Live 5.1

Also try reducing your hardware accelleration as mentioned in this post. That's what fixed it for me when I had the same problem. Although, making sure you have the latest drivers won't hurt anything either...

I think this problem is related to the Play portion, which would be tied to the DirectX loaded on your system. The new version requires at least DirectX 9.0. You can update from this post:http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?threadid=772
