Actually I defraged a few days before the problem occured, although I only defraged once. I do know I need to scandisk and defrag more often

I did fix the problem though by backing up that disk with microstudio and then reimport using the backup,everything came out beautiful and it imported at normal speed (about 7 or 8 mins for the whole disk) as oposed to taking an hour for the original.
