Re: hoster crash and freeze please help

Has this problem started suddenly or are you a new user ?

If you are a new user, have you followed the instructions from the first page of the manuel where it reads:

IMPORTANT! Make these Performance changes for:
Windows 10/8.1 - Windows 7 - Windows Vista - Windows XP

Virtual dj does is not always compatible if you play videos with it. but opening folders or internet should not be a problem.

As you mention virtual DJ are you using the on board sound card or an external setup ?

If your using an external soundcard I would try switching to the in built card just to see if this helps first just to rule out problems with your external setup.

There is an update just been released Hoster 5.41.04 if your eligible for it try installing the update.

Re: hoster crash and freeze please help

Well it sounds like something changed on your computer.
You may have downloaded something and it's running in the background like malware or a virus.

Have you tried restoring your computer to an earlier date before this problem started ?

Alternately check what programs are running in the background using the task manager processes and see if something stands out as using an unusual amount of CPU, you may be able to end task tempory till you reboot to see if stopping something helps. If you do find the culprit the next thing is to either stop it loading at start up or uninstall it.

Re: hoster crash and freeze please help

hi,thanks again

that's the first thing i thought
about a virus o malware and what
i did was to format it reinstalling windows 7
again but it stays the same problem.
before reinstalling windows i did restore
looking for somenthing probably missing but
no change at all.i tried task manager processes
but i'm going to try again more careful and deeply
and see if i find something.

Re: hoster crash and freeze please help

Is this still happening? If this is a crash (i.e. "Hoster application must close"), then there should be a Windows Event Log of the crash.

If you can find that, MTU would like you to post the Fault Offset here.

If you need help finding that, please post back. Thanks.
