Try changing one thing and see if it will do what you want:

Select Tools -> Settings... from the menu bar
Click the Playlist button
Select any value greater than zero (0) for the third item: Set this value to be the number of seconds... (I think 30 is recommended, but it's up to you)
Click the Close button
