Unhappy Updating old versions

Although I haven't used Microstudio yet, I have had the software for over a year. I have version V2.315 and ASPI V1.13.

I don't know if my software has any problems as yet, but do you advise that I pay for the 2.4 version and delete the ASPI V1.13 and install the pidrivers16.exe?

I am running Windows ME

Sandy

If you haven't even used the version you have, why do you want to upgrade? If I was changing my operating system to Windows XP or changing my burner to one that was not supported by the older version, then I would have no choice but to upgrade. But as it is I still am using my old 16-10-40 Plex on windows 98 with an older version than you have, and am happy with my backups, and have no reason to upgrade...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it....

Jim

But that's just my opinion.......

Upgrading

sandyp_50, the upgrade to 2.400 was free to those who have 2.315. If you click your download link again, you will receive a new download file. This will LOOK LIKE it is 2.315 (in the filename) because our download software requires we use the same filename. However, it will download 2.400.

There are many upgrades and bug fixes along with a built-in ASPI driver in 2.400. It is superior and I recommend you download and use it. Using the most advanced and latest version in general is always the best idea. Bugs in prior versions are fixed in later versions. Thus, you won't run into problems in 2.400 that may appear in 2.315.

Thankyou for the reply.

I tried to re-enter the download that was originally sent me but it said the download link has been used up and that I would have to purchase (for $15.00) the 2.400 version??

Advice?

Make sure you are not running a download accelerator

RealAudio and Netscape can have download accelerators installed on your computer that will instantly consume all 8 downloads from our site. Make sure you have any of these disabled or not running before clicking the download link.

You can do Ctrl-Alt-Delete to view the Task Manager. Then make sure you don't have any "unknown" programs running. I believe download accelerators will appear in TM. If not, check your Startup menu with Explorer and make sure there are none there to be started when you run your computer.

We regret that our store does not work with these accelerators, but there are tens of thousands of e-Commerce stores using the same store code we do. It is a very popular store. Alas... such is the world of Internet compatibility!
