Smile Re: Saving downloaded tracks to CD to import into Hoster.

Hi Roy

Thank you for the advice. I'm running Hoster 5.35.01.1.

At the moment I am selecting 'import songs' then 'scan now' and choosing the folder on my desktop with one of my tracks example Emeli Sande, Breaking The Law. Is there somewhere that explains the whole 'fields and separators' thing as I don't think I'm getting it still. I select the 'artist, title, ignore' and also tried it selecting the 'artist, title, discID, track' and it loaded both times. Anyway, this works for each track, but when I then search, it comes up with a random DiscID, which isn't a problem when searching if I have song title and artist highlighted to search under, because it still finds the track. The problem I have is I usually only search under disc ID as all my discs are numbered 1-475 currently. It's a system I have used for years so am used to it, although I'm sure I could get used to searching under song title if I had to. The other reason I use disc ID is I have duplicates of some tracks, and the versions in my printed books are the ones I want to be selecting so the person gets the same version each time. So this is why I need to be able to search under just disc ID and why I need to understand where to go to change the disc ID before importing, as I couldn't find where you mentioned on your previous reply. Does this make any sense because I feel I've lost MYSELF lol! I would then like to put the 5 tracks I downloaded into one folder with the same discID so it comes up say COMP 475 track 1, track 2 etc.....

I probably had other questions but so as not to lose myself further I will stop here for now.
