Adding Songs to Singers Database

I have used Hoster for many years and love it. Just upgraded to new Hoster though and everything seems fine except it doesn't seem to want to let me add songs to singers database. When I add the first song under say 'Paul' it shows that song in database but every song after that I try to use the 'S+' key and it adds songs to play list but not to database. I am thinking this is something simple to fix but for the life of me I can't work it out.

And another note - is it possible to transfer the singers songs from one laptop (with the old 4.11 Hoster) to the new laptop which I have upgraded? Instead of adding each song into the individual singer databases one at a time.

Re: Adding Songs to Singers Database

Your absolutely right, it is not adding the song to the singers list, I will report it to support I'm sure they will get a quick update out.

Regarding your second point Singers database.
I'm not going to guarantee this will work as there have been a lot of changes since 4.11 and I no longer have a 4.11 version to check back on.

It can also depend if the file paths are the same but try this:

On your old 4.11 version find your Hoster folder and look in that for "Singers.mdb" copy it to a thumb drive or some portable media.

Now on your newest Hoster from Tools menu select "Hoster data Folder" then close Hoster but leave folder open look down the list of files for "Singers.mdb" then rename it to something like "Singerstemp.mdb" just as a backup in case the next steps fail.
Now paste the "singers.mdb" from your old folder into the new Hoster database folder. Close the folder then restart Hoster and see if it works.
You might need to press refresh database from the singers button.

Re: Adding Songs to Singers Database

Thank you for letting us know of this issue! We have found and fixed it, so download Video Hoster again from here http://www.mtu.com/download.htm

The way you can tell this is the Fixed version is once it is installed, go to the Help Menu\About Video Hoster. It should show the version as 5.35.01.1
