Hey, folks... Problems Solved...

Turns out there was a problem with my friend's laptop... unrelated to the MStudio 4.30. Glad he got the problem corrected and now his MStudio appears to work fine.

Thanks to Roy D. for response, and to the rest of ya'll for being great Forum'ers!

Think the dvd burner was the problem. Replaced it and now all fine...
