Re: Hoster and other program problems

Roy, I forgot to ask why there is a buy songs included within Hoster if you can't automatically have them imported while doing a show? I download songs via Tricerasoft which are Abraxa and SBI and am able to unzip them while singers mozy along and they are in the database. I do this alot as there are many new songs I do not have and this is easier and less expensive then buying new cd all the time. Thanks Again Alan

Re: Hoster and other program problems

Have you watched the video that pops up explaining it when you click the buy songs button. I believe that once you have an account with them it's much like Tricerasoft, difference being I believe they are legal in US and Tricerasoft are only legal in Canada and the rest of the World.

I expect I'll start a big debate now stating that

Re: Hoster and other program problems

Thanks Roy, I do have an account with them. The last song I downloaded I had to separately import into Hoster as I do with Tricerasoft, which I thought that since all star was embedded into hoster they would have made it in some way or another imported automatically. This is the main reason I did the upgrade in the 1st place as far as everything else I was perfectly happy with 5.05 Alan

Roy,

What is your source for the above?

This link is the only thing I can find on the matter regarding Tricerasoft (other than their "Terms of Use").

I knew I was going to start another legal argument when I posted that
Having just read your link and also the terms of use from the Tricerasoft site it sounds like they are legal, my mistake.

I thought they were the same as Selectatrack as according to this statement from a competitor forum PCDJ Karaoki : http://message.pcdj.com/phpbb3/viewt...nloads#p139441
If you can't read that post it is basically saying that PCDJ karaoki has had to pull the Selectatrack download link from it's list of built in download manufactures due to them not being allowed to sell in the US.

I was able to see the post.

Didn't intend to start a legal debate.... Just trying to be on the look out for what is legal to use (I try diligently to stay that way) because I can't afford to be any other way but legal!

My library has cost me $1,000's and I sympathize with legit company's that have their work's pirated. On the flip side, I have "No Sympathy" for those who steal other's work's and glean a profit from it.

Thanks much for trying to keep us straight!

Re: Hoster and other program problems

Thanks. I followed the link you provided and no where does it mentkion Tricerasoft as being illegal. So until I do see their site I will continue to purchase and download their songs. They do have Abraxa and SBI and sometimes Music Maestro. I do get a lot of request for new songs that I don't have, so this site makes it easy to download songs. Thanks Alan
