Re: Can Hoster Run On A Tablet

I moved your post to a new thread as the type of tablet in the thread you posted in was different.

It may run on a Windows based tablet but not Android or Ipad.
I believe someone has used it on the Microsoft Surface tablet but as I have not tried it myself can not tell you of it's limitations, perhaps others will know and answer you, I would be interested to know myself.

Re: Can Hoster Run On A Tablet

I tried downloading the demo onto a Android and it could not open the file.
I wasn't sure if there was a different program that was designed for the tablets (Android).
I think that would be a nice addition as I am trying to use the tablet in a cradle mounted to a microphone stand with a Microphone.
So far, with WIFI I can use a free program called "Teamviewer" to run on my laptop and view on and run from the tablet remotely. That gives me a small monitor and less conspicuous to my audience where I can control my play list, stop start and key.

Thanks Roy

Re: Can Hoster Run On A Tablet

Thanks Roy on the other message.

Is there anyway to become a beta tester for MTU?

I like being on the edge of the techie stuff and try to have the best in the area. But there is another KJ with better techie stuff than I have and he uses a Apple machine where I use a MS laptop. uggg

Re: Can Hoster Run On A Tablet

Support usually invite a user to become testers based on their past participation in the forums, it is not up to me.
Depends whether they need more testers at any given time so you never know, if they read this they may ask you.

Re: Can Hoster Run On A Tablet

nFountai,
Please email me at support@mtu.com and I can speak to you more about being a Beta tester.

Also, Hoster should work fine on a Windows Surface Pro 2 Tablet without any issues, from what we have been told.

It must have the Intel Processor and Windows 8 or 8.1, so the Android tablets will not work, I wish they would, but they run on Arm processors and our software can't work on those.

Re: Can Hoster Run On A Tablet

Hey Guys

When I want to perform as a singer I use my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (Android).
I use an app called Karaoke-a-gogo. It uses cdg+mp3 files so you do not have to buy new songs as you would with most other apps. It cannot do key changes but I just use my MTU keychange before loading my tracks. Works a treat. I put the tablet on a music stand and away I go!

Re: Can Hoster Run On A Tablet

It's been a year and my interest has grown to use a tablet. But now the technology has increased.

The Surface Pro Vs a Detacable.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 intel core i3 processor 64 GB 1.50ghz $705

HP 2-in-1 Detacable 13.3" Touch-Screen Laptop
Intel Core i3 4GB Mem 500GB 1.5ghz Under $600

Does anyone have an opinion

Re: Can Hoster Run On A Tablet

Yesterday I made the decission and bought a HP Detachable. 256 Solid State HD, 8gb Ram and Intel Core M-70 1.1-2.6Ghz. No optical and I don't need as I can transfer per sd card.

I bought the new 5.34 and so far it works fine.

At Best Buy the unit was $799., $500 cheaper than MS Surface Pro3 and the HP has a better HD and more memory but the same Ram.

Reasoning for this is that we are Singers, DJ & KJ and this will make the singing more comfortable.
