HELP Power Cut

Hi
I was gigging with my Hoster the other night, and the venue had two power cuts, which of course shut my computer down as well as my hard-drive, so when it came back on I carried on at the gig even though every time i'd search for a song in Hoster (while someone was singing) the music would stop for seconds then it would go again, any ideas what I can do to sort this.

Just to clarify when I search for a song the Audio stops, when I stop searching for a song, the Audio starts.

Re: HELP Power Cut

I take it all was well and working OK before the power cut ?
First off I wonder if the power cut affected your power settings. Normally laptops will take over for a short while on battery power but if you run from a desktop it could lose some settings by shutting down suddenly.
Depending on your windows version Windows 7 is as follows:

NOTE: If you do not make any other changes, this one WILL cause your computer to have audio dropouts. If the screen saver turns on while playing audio or you have not set your Power Settings to "Maximum Performance", the audio will stutter/drop out.
  1. Right click on a blank space of your desktop and click Personalize to see the Personalization window.
  2. Left Click the Screen Saver button
  3. Left Click the arrow at the right of the Screen Saver drop down list and select (None).
  4. Left Click the Change Power settings Link on this dialog to see Power Options Properties window.
  5. In the Power Schemes group, click the drop down arrow, select Maximum Performance and close this window.
  6. Click X to close the Personalization window.
If that doesn't help try system restore to a time before the problem started.
If you still need help please state your version of windows and version of Hoster, your computer specs.
