It is probably that a file is corrupt in some way but it's a case of finding the corrupt file.

Can you state which version of Hoster you have ?

Does it always stop at the same point or number ?

Are you using the Rescan Folders button or the Rebuild database button ?

If you have many folders in your list of folders window below the add folders button, if you scan them individually do any of those individual folders complete ?

If some complete and others fail note the failed folders as the corrupt file should be in that folder.

Come back when you can answer all the above questions.
