Bryant, It is set for Auto Select. I have tried to change it to either the integrated or the High performance and no good. The only way it works is as previously described.

Okay, great. Thanx. I did exactly as you said and Voila! I got clear graphics on the laptop screen and clear on extended monitor using the hdmi coming from the nvidia video card. I am assuming, (although not 100% correct) that the nvidea card was working on the extended monitor and intel onboard on the laptop screen(which can't be changed). I am not sure if the onboard video card is diverting its signal through the hdmi out of the dedicated card or not. I'll let you know.

The other thing that worked was when I totally disabled the nvidia dedicated card from control panel and ran a vga adaptor from the Dell mini-display, then to a vga adaptor, then a vga cord to sibgers monitor and a composite wire from the adaptor to an audience lyrics. Very bulky equipment on the DJ table, however, and no use of this expensive video card.

Wow, I will have to make a FAQ on this for sure. Thank you for letting us know how you fixed the issue.

Bryant, I have also just disabled the nvidia graphics and I am using the hdmi output and all is nice and clear on both screens, so on my laptop at least it looks like they route thru the hdmi card no matter which adapter i select.

Wow, confusing, huh, Iif you have disabled the graphics card and am sure it is completely disabled from the device manager, that card cannot work and should not be able to use that hdmi port (as I can't when I disable, extended screen is black...but I can with clicking on "run with processor Intel HD3000 as you do too).
That's really weird, did you disable from Device manager?hmm??

That might tell us that when the nvidia is completely off there isn't a problem, which sort of means nvidia nvidea drivers right now are a little buggy (with Hoster, anyway).

maybe Roy can add to this now. Chime in Pal!!

Yes Bryant the card is disabled in device manager, and all is good now, so yes it looks like the nvidia drivers are not working with hoster.

Re: Preview Screen Garbled, extended's very clear??

I also am having problems with a garbled preview screen. The bar I work at recently purchased a new PC and upgraded to Hoster 5.07.

ASUS Desktop PC CM1740 Series
Windows 7 with service pack 1
AMD A6-3600 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 2.10 ghz
memory 4 GB
1 TB hard drive

The singers screen is run on the onboard HDMI output through a splitter and amplifier to 3 HDMI TVs. The singers screen is clear and works greats. The preview screen keeps posting lyrics over the top of the old lyrics without clearing first. I have updated all possible drivers on the PC. I can live with the garbled preview screen but would like to get it cleared up. Any ideas?

I only work weekends so any changes would have to wait until the weekend to try.
Thanks

Re: Preview Screen Garbled, extended's very clear??

I can only suggest you try to see if you can do as mjekaraoke suggested that worked for him read from post #20 onwards.
Other than that do you have vga out on that computer if so use a vga to composit converter and run from that to your external monitors, I have never had any problems using one of these types. http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

DoubleD,
Interesting, although only knowing little about programming, I was beginning to think that this problem was allocated only to nVidea optimus technology(use of combined integrated and dedicated video cards) in laptops, with perhaps buggy nVidea drivers (although I have tried them all). I see you have a PC desktop with an AMD video card!! Is there another integrated card with that unit, by chance?
Bryant
