The few that I have work just fine after using Windows Explorer to copy them. What is the disk manufacturer that contains the .DAT files? Thanks!

Re: Problems playing video files on extended desktop
I would like to no if this has been sorted, I am having the same problems since updating, it has happend before and I have wasted many hours and lots of money on updates, virus scans, hardware and raised many tickets on this. When hoster first was able to play video I had no problems and would see it in both the extended desk top and in preview window. After many hoster updates I know cannot play MPEG2 through hoster on a secong monitor (extended desktop). I can if I drop Windows media player to the sencond desktop. And on a ealier version of hoster using one of the insta buttons (now gone) so I have 2500 converted lazer karaoke I cannot play and another £40.00 lighter in the pocket. Progress

Have you tried installing K-Lite Codec MEGA Pack (v9.4)?

Re: Problems playing video files on extended desktop
Some of my friends had a problem playing some video files so maybe what i did will work for you. I use 3rd party video converter like imtoo video converter or xilisoft video converter and convert all my video files to mpeg1 (only mpeg1). It will take awhile to convert but once it's done, so far everything working fine. i have more than 5000 mpeg1 files combined. Use klite mega codec (simple).

It seams to play on the external tv when it feels like it, often if I reset the codecs the open up hoster it will play my mpeg2's on the tv but if just leave the program open and not use it it will not plays the mpeg just the sound on the external monitor. Driving me mad now |

When you say if you leave it the graphics stop displaying I should check something isn't set to sleep.

Re: Problems playing video files on extended desktop
Did you reinstall the latest R310 Nvidia driver for your video cards when you reinstalled Win XP Pro?

Re: Problems playing video files on extended desktop
I have updated everything, and the power settings when power is plugged in are set to nothing turns off. When I say I leave it I mean just for say 10 mins. It is as if when I select a Mpeg file and Hoster is not picking up the codecs, if I stop it the file and restart it 7 out of ten it will play and show on the second screen. I can drag the screen in windows media player and in Dell media player and they play no problems.
This has all happen since I updated Hoster. If I still had my original CDG files i'm afraid I would to moving to a new software player |
