That makes since but it seems it would be much easier if we could just highlight the next song we want to play. I had the same problem that is mentioned. I believe it has always been that way in Hoster. I just accepted it.

Re: Back To Song Last Played?

I totally agree with being able to highlight the song you wish to play next. If the songs were being played in the order on the playlist the cursor would be where it needed to be anyway. You can (and I have) dragged the song up on the list but that movement while a song is playing increases the chances for a system hangup.

I have actually put a long playlist in alpha order so I could find what I wanted more easily.

I used to keep my Playlists in alpa order also, for several years, so I could use Playlists for dinner dances when I do all the singing. Since the Singers' database was created, I have created my Playlists in the order I wish to sing, but sometimes need to choose a differerent song because of the audience. I drag it up to appear after the current song, but I could also use the ability to just highlight the next song I want to sing instead of having to change the order of my current playlist.

Re: Back To Song Last Played?

I repeat. If you want to make this request for a new feature then post it in New Features. This section is for help with existing problems which this is not. If you drag the song up to just after the playing song or wait until the playing song finishes then you can highlight and play this song next.
I can see this idea being as much a help to some as a problem for others, especially if you are using automatic play.

Re: Back To Song Last Played?

Thanks Dale. I will post in the Hoster New Feature Request Section. As a last comment in this section I will request that it be considered as an option-that way you could either use it or keep as is. Personally, I have never used autoplay during a Karaoke show and maybe 10% if just playing music.

For those interested in commenting on this, please check the "Hoster New Featurem Request".

I don't use autoplay eccept when I am doing my own singing show. This with the remove silence feature allows me to go right into the next song. Auto feature with a karaoke show would not allow for enough time to get the next singer up, espcially is you are using the remove silence feature.

Not true Walt as you can set the time between songs for autoplay. I don't use it for my shows, however my sis-in-law has used it for some of her shows. It does make them pay attention and get up front to sing quicker.

You all need to remember that the way Hoster is designed to work is in a playlist sequence, meaning change and be ready to play the next song in the list when the previous song is over. That way you do not have to highlight the next song as it is already done. So all you have to do is click play as soon as the singer is ready. Hoster is designed first for Karaoke shows and not for other uses.
