Smile Database question

Hi there,
I just purchased the Hoster and since all my music was converted to MP3-CDG one of my qiuestions is What type of format do I need to use in order for the Hoster database read the name of the songs the right way? like artist + Song or Song + Artist etc.
Is any specific format to rename the files or the program will recognized the song by it self?

Thanks

You can setup custom field order to read the filenames. Only thing is they all need to be named the same way (Title - Artist or Artist - Title) If they are not all named with the same format, then either rename to which ever order you want to use or separate the formats into two folders.
Do any of these have DiskIDs and track in the names or just artist and title?

Re: Database question

Hi Thanks for replying, most of my songs has this format
01 - Song Name - Artist Name
I wonder if Hoster support tags id's? I have to do this for almost all my 4,000 songs since the DiskID is not there and hoster do not recognized the Artis Name.
Another question is after I setup the database and all my songs I cannot change the DiskID on the Edit song part. Is there any other way to add this after you import all the songs to the database?

Thanks!

Hoster does not presently use tag IDs. Hoster will not import them without a DiskID but, you can add them using the Custom Assembly for brand and that will generate a DiskID for use in Hoster. The only way to get them in with the correct brand and DiskID would be to correct the file names before importing them.
There is no way to change the DiskID after importing them as this is a key unique field that is tied to each BookID.
