Microstudio does not install

Still couldn't install. Here is what I get when I open the error alert.

Error Signature

fDebug 0 Offset: 00010f1e

Did you do all the Custom Microsoft updates from their website? I am wondering since you said this was a new computer.

Yes I did. Oh, I was able to find another cdg burning program. Compared to Microstudio......IT SUCKS!! Microstudio is still the winner in all catagories. The only thing I can say about the one I found is... it beats not having anything at all.
Dale, I just thought of something!!!! Do you know if I would be allowed to put Microstudio on my wifes desktop????

You can have each license for Microstudio on 2 computers.

Another possibility could simply be a corrupted download.This was happening quite frequently a few years back.

Most common, but not the only cause was servers promoting fast downloads using download accellerators.

Sometimes it just happens.Try another download. Won't be any worse off if it's not the problem

Try this, Last ditch, but you said your under Xp right?

Try Right clicking on the mstudio421setup.exe file, then left click on Properties.

Click on Compatibility Tab, and turn it on. Try setting it to Windows Xp, if thats an option. I just did this on a customers computer, but theres was Windows 7, 64 bit, and it would not install with the same error your getting.

No clue why, as it should work fine. Let me know what you find.

Just tried what you suggested. It only shows Windows 95, 98, NT and 2000. There is no XP.

Ernie if you haven't already why don't you submit a Support Email Ticket and then you can get together with Bryan to let him remote into your computer and see what he can find.
