Re: Error when I try upgrading to 4.22
As in my post stated below I do have 3.13 on my pc and I am connected online but when I run setup upgrade this is what I get.
I’m trying to upgrade from Hoster 3.13 to Hoster 4.22. I‘ve tried to install the upgrade in normal mode as well as in safe mode but I keep getting the same message: Unhandled Exception Error Number: 0x80040702 Description: Failed to load DLL :_ismtu Setup will now terminate Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Re: Error when I try upgrading to 4.22
The very first issue of 4.22 were having a problem with this, to make sure you have the latest re- download from the website.
Also the usual question, have you done all the custom updates including Windows Media Player & direct x which needs to be version 10 or higher. Roy. |

Re: Error when I try upgrading to 4.22
I am having a similar problem today. I upgraded this morning from Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium, I updated Windows and all the suggestions from MTU. Before I did all this I un-installed 4.22 from my computer. Re-installed 4.0 with the correct code. Than I would start Hoster and it would tell me it had to close after about 30 seconds. So, I tried to re-install 4.22 and it tells me I have the wrong code. 4 hours before I was using it.
I had upgraded to 4.11, 4.20 and than 4.22. using the same code. Got any ideas? I did re-download 4.11, 4.2 & 4.22 Thanks Last edited by nfountai; August 29th, 2010 at 12:12 PM. Reason: More Info |

Re: Error when I try upgrading to 4.22
This is printed in the Manuel, it is what I was referring to in my earlier post.
I believe the direct x affects the install.

Re: Error when I try upgrading to 4.22
I already had the DirextX 11 and newest Windows Media 12 but double checked.
I double checked the display setting and made sure that it was as recommended too. Could there be something else I missed as I just checked the Hoster again and it is still shutting down. I know it worked here when it was Vista and I have a another Windows 7 machine and it works ok with that one. But this one is the full upgrade to Windows 7. |

Not sure how you re-downloaded anything but 4.22. MTU does not keep past versions available for downloading. Be sure to explain what you have done.

Re: Error when I try upgrading to 4.22
I cleaned the registry just after my last post but I think there is something else.
New windows 7 updates keep coming in. I think that I may have to wait till tomorrow for Hoster. I thought when the updates said it had 40 to do that I had them all. Thanks |

Re: Error when I try upgrading to 4.22
Follow all the changes through listed at this Link:
http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster/windows7-changes.htm When you do the items from Microsoft. Go to it several times to make sure you get everything except hardware updates. Some updates require another update be loaded first. That is why you see the Auto Update popping up several times. Actually all you should have needed to do is load 4.22 and not have to reload any previous ones. Since you removed it from the computer before the Windows 7 upgrade that should have reset your registry code.
