Re: New to Hoster and forum
I'm back. I made it through my rotation of venues and everything worked great! No more hum and the sound card made a big difference. No more fading. Thanks for everyone's help. Now if I can just figure out how to keep the updates from messing everything up. That's another tread.

Re: New to Hoster and forum
The updates that MTU puts out do not mess with anything you have set, nor do you lose your database files or any playlists you may have created. So don't worry about the updates.

Re: New to Hoster and forum
I'm talking about the windows update thru microsoft. I didn't think I was making any hardware changes, but 2 different updates mess up the singers monitor. When I use the restore everything goes back to normal. They say they're important updates.

Re: New to Hoster and forum
I won't worry about it then. I don't go online with that computer other than to occasionally download from Itunes. Other than that It's only used for my shows

Re: New to Hoster and forum
The thing to do is not get the hardware updates from Microsoft. They are usually generic updates and have caused problems many times. That is MTU and we recommend not to do them from there. If it needs it then go to computer or hardware manufacturer's web site and get from there.

Re: New to Hoster and forum
Dale and MTU are so right about your hardware updates, keep those up to date at ALL TIMES, and only from their individual websites. Make sure you have your "Restore Point" just in case. I wouldn't do any updates without it handy. I checked the last couple of updates for your operating version. And looks like they were more of those dreaded nasty "security" updates.
