Hoster 420 Lyrics out of sync & Just runs slow

He is talking about it in the Search window and actually it is unhighlighting it so it doesn't look through them.
I don't think that would help anyway because it still has to search through all to find the correct type and song anyway. That just helps to reject those from the results list.

after everything opens click on SOUND 1 tab

About midway down the page there's a slider. It's probably all the way to the right, that's usually the default.

Move it two notches to the left and exit.

That may not solve the problem, but is in the realm of possibility.

Yes I have tried that my lyrics are in sync but I'm at the max setting .. My big problem now is when seaching for or adding songs from the search list it messes up the music & lyrics What I do now is add between singers its a pain but it's a bandaid for now..

are you importing a singers disc while playing a song? ii have the same problem,nothing seems to fix it, except to wait for the song playing to end, but i dont have any sync or video problem.

Just as a bit more insight to what is running on your computer, with Hoster enabled but not playing anything bring up the task manager, from the processes tab most of the processes should show CPU 00 the only one that should be high is system idle. My CPU usage with Hoster enabled but not playing is between 6% & 22% How many processes does it show running ? I have 42 showing on my XP, I am still wondering if something is running in the background. Are any of the processes showing a constant high CPU Reading ?

If you don't know how to bring up task manager press Ctrl+Alt & Delete at the same time.

The only thing showing inthe task manager is hoster only 22 things showin in xp. usage was all over the place from 0-82 % If I try to add a song from a disc while hoster is playin it slows the lyrics way down.. I had this problem in all th 4. hoster programs .. the only thing i have on this computer is Xp Hoster Microstudio and DJ Power thats it .. I only use this computer for shows.

Could the problem be related to the external hard drive that your karaoke files are on?

You could try copying a small number of them to the C\ drive, rebuild the songs database to there and see if this makes any difference just for a test. Unless you have another spare drive to copy them to.

All my files Kma & zip are on the 500 gb drive I have everything back up on an external drive as well .. All 3 drives are internal drives . I still can add a track from a CDG when Hosters playing it seriously slows the lyrics.. and has with every version of Hoster 4. ? My 500 gd drive is pretty full but I still have 20% of space on it. I have been running this set up for over ten years I think of using a the external drive just fot the zip files.. But i'm not ready to spend 3 days of loading into hoster.

What kind of anti-virus program are you running, and have you made any changes in it since your problems started occurring?

Try this... when not on the internet, shut off the anti-virus, and see if your searches speed up a little with no glitches...

I had a problem with my older laptop and I think one of the workarounds (band-aids) for having very little video memory space ( which caused similar problems ) was shutting down the firewall and anti-virus when I didn't have it online... I tried this, and also running black viper reccommendations for shutting down unneeded processes helped, but again that was several changes and I didn't try to pinpoint what was most effective in solving the problem, and eventually I bought a faster computer, with more buzzers and whistles, and haven't had the same problem... and the older computer, is my backup that I take to shows in case of emergencies!

Plus I don't have the number of karaoke files that you have, so you are in rare company with that many songs... in 15 years I have a 12,000 file song database...

Thanks again for the help. I don't have any anti virus on this computer I don't do the internet on it .. I just replaced my C drive and I have a fresh install of XP and have all the up dates..

i think he's problem was he's got too many songs and they are all in 3 sep. drives, so if he search for a song Hoster has to look on 3 diff. places, instead on just 1, i might be wrong, i would try what Roy suggested, copy some in files in c: drive and do a rebuild, that might work..

Check each drive properties and make sure Indexing is off. This can also run a lot in the background especially when everything else is idle.

First I want to thank everyone for there help ! I had to change the battery on the mother board this computers is unpluged alot. And that reset my bios to the default settings.. Which enable Hyper Threading.. which I had disabled it for DJpower.. they have issues.. but great features for djing anyway I did a show last night and had zero issues with hoster.. .. Bad news is DJpower won't work unless I disable hyper threading..
Keeping my fingers crossed I have another show tonight !!
