Hey Billyo, have you thought about rechargeables? They save alot on cost. MCM Electronics have chargers that come with 4 AA batteries from $16.00 to about $33.00.

i did, but even those chargers will go out sometime, and its easier for me just to put fresh bat. rather than waiting for the bat. to charged

I've had my charger for about 3 years without any problem. I also have 16 rechageable AA batteries and the charger charges 4 at a time. When one set is fully charged, I put in another set so I always have at least 4 charged batteries with me at my shows. Last night I had 8 batteries with me.

so you take the bat.out of the mics every time you get done with your show and charge them when you get home ? i compliment you on your patience, little things like that i dont have the patience, when i get done with my show i just opened up the mics and get rid of the bat. i just wanna unload my gears when i get home and hit the sack

No I don't take the batteries out for every show. The batteries last approximately 30 hours on continuous use, but I have at least 4 batteries with me at every show. Back home I have 4 more that have been charging for hours, so they'll be ready for next time. All my mics have LEDs which show me the state of the batteries. The AVGs LED stays off until the battery needs replacing then it turns on. The Audio Technica LEDs stay lit and get dim when the batteries get weak.

i haven't notice that, i know that it stays green when the bat. are new and red only when i turned it off, havent seen the green light dimmed ..yet, i was told by audio technica support that you should always take the bat. out after using it, and you have to put the same pair of bat.back since bat. doesn't discharge/charge at the same rate.

Just learned something new about what Audio Technica told you. I always leave the batteries in the mics and I've never had a problem with it. You probably have a different model than mine. My mics have a red LED for power on that dims as the battery weakens.
